Mark Bates brings over 29 years of technology experience in retail grocery and drug stores to Albertson’s LLC. Mark joined Albertson’s, Inc. 1976 and served in various capacities including Director, Technical Operations and Vice President, Technical Services in the Information Technology (IT) function in Boise, Idaho.

Mark's latest assignment was Group Vice President of Technology, which included responsibility for all in-store and back office infrastructure at Albertson’s, Inc. He also has 10 years experience with mergers and acquisitions at Albertson’s, Inc. as the IT lead on the Albertsons business development team.

Mark received his Bachelor of Business Administration from Boise State University, graduating with academic honors. He also attended USAF under graduate pilots training and earned his Air Force pilots wings in 1982. He served in the Idaho Air National Guard and retired with over 1000 hours in fighter aircraft and several years of Command Post experience.
