The current Wright County Egg Recall is causing a confusion for our Albertsons customers.

Albertsons stores in the following states are NOT impacted by this recall:

• Arizona
• Arkansas
• Florida
• Louisiana
• New Mexico
• Texas

For Colorado Albertsons Stores ONLY

Albertsons stores in Colorado are supplied by a distributor that occasionally purchases eggs from Wright County Eggs. While we have no confirmation that any of the eggs from Wright County Egg actually were used in the production of our Albertson’s Brand Large Eggs, we worked with our supplier and removed the eggs from sale that had lot codes consistent with those recalled by Wright County Egg out of an abundance of caution. Our supplier has visited all Colorado stores that received product affected by the recall, and replaced it with fresh product.

It is important to note that Albertsons stores are operated by two separate companies - Albertsons LLC, which operates stores in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas; and SUPERVALU, based in Minnesota and operating Albertsons stores in California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

The Albertsons stores in all of Albertsons LLC’s market areas, excluding a limited number of our Front Range stores in Colorado, have separate egg suppliers and are not impacted by this recall, however the news releases are not making that distinction.

Again, the Albertsons stores impacted by this recall are in two areas: Southern California divsiion Albertsons stores owned by SUPERVALU, and Front Range Albertsons stores in Colorado.
